- 8 ⅓ pound hamburger patties
- ¼ cup Traeger Rub
- 8 hamburger buns
Burger Toppings
- 8 slices cheese
- 2 tomatoes thinly sliced
- ½ red onion thinly sliced
- ½ head lettuce
- ½ cup pickles

Grilled Burgers at 375F
Set your Traeger Grill temperature to 375˚F and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes.
Season your burger patties well on both sides.
Lay the seasoned burgers on the grill grates and let them cook for 8-9 minutes with the lid closed.
After 8 minutes, flip the burgers. Rotate the burgers around if you are cooking several burgers at once and be mindful of your hot spots.
Cook for an additional 8-9 minutes or until they've reached at internal temperature of 150-155˚F
If adding cheese, add 1-2 slices now and cook for 5 minutes.
Remove from the Traeger and serve immediately.
Smoked Burgers at 250F
Set your Traeger temperature to 250˚F and preheat with the lid closed for 15 minutes.
Season your burger patties well on both sides.
Lay the seasoned burgers on the grill grates and let them go for 25 minutes.
After 25 minutes, flip the burgers.
Cook for an additional 25 minutes or until they've reached at internal temperature of 145-155˚F
If adding cheese, add 1-2 slices now and cook for 5 minutes. You can also warm up the hamburger buns on the top shelf at this point.
Remove from the Traeger and serve immediately.
The smoked burger may hit a stall around the 140F mark. Trust the temperature and wait for it to reach 145-150F before adding the cheese and removing from the grill.
For well done burgers, cook to an internal temperature of 160F
