Equipment

  • 1 wood charcuterie board
  • 3 Small Bowls
  • 2 cheese knives
  • 1 serving tongs

Ingredients

Charcuterie Meats

  • 4 ounces smoked turkey
  • 4 ounces prosciutto
  • 4 ounces salami

Cheese

  • 1 pound cheese ball shaped in pumpkin
  • ½ pound sharp white cheddar or flavored specialty hard cheese
  • ½ pound goat cheese with cranberry

Fruit

  • 1 pear sliced
  • 1 cup grapes
  • cup pomegranate seeds

Crackers and Spreads

  • ½ pound French baguette sliced
  • ½ pound multigrain crackers
  • ½ pound butter crackers or butter crackers
  • 3 tablespoon fig spread
  • 3 tablespoon whole grain mustard

Specialty Foods

  • ¾ cup mixed nuts
  • ¾ cup candy corn or other fall candy

Instructions

  • Start by preparing the cheeses. Cut the hard cheeses and lay them on a large wood board in desired style.
  • To display the charcuterie meat, fold the salami in desired pattern and add to your board. Roll or fold the turkey and prosciutto, adding these to the board as well.
  • Wash and cut your fruit so they are easy to serve and eat. Cut the grape stems into clusters of 3-5 grapes for individual servings.
  • Add the jarred spreads and small bowls of specialty food items such as mixed nuts or candy.
  • Arrange crackers or sliced baguette throughout the board to fill in most of the empty space available.
  • Finish the presentation with fresh herbs to fill in any gaps. Use grapes or more mixed nuts to complete the charcuterie board.

Notes

Cheese Notes: if you don't want to make a herbed cheese ball pumpkin, add 8 ounces of another soft cheese and 8 ounces of a different hard cheese to complete your board.
Serve the charcuterie board at room temperature so the cheeses are easy to spread.
