- 1 cup Rao's Tomato Sauce
- ¾ cup Chicken broth or vegetable broth
- ½ tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon basil substitute dried
- 2 tablespoon heavy cream
Get Recipe Ingredients
Heat a medium sauce pot over medium heat. Add the butter and the basil.
Add 1 cup of tomato sauce to a smoothie blender and blend until smooth. Pour the smooth tomato sauce into the pot with the butter and basil.
Next add the chicken broth and stir. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-5 minutes.
Turn off the heat and stir in the heavy cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve with grilled cheese or fresh croutons.
