Patriotic Fruit Salad Recipe

This fruit salad is the perfect combination of fresh berries and start shaped apples or peaches with a bright and sweet syrup for a great red, white, and blue fruit salad.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 pints strawberries
  • 1 pint raspberries
  • 1 pint blueberries
  • 2 honey crisp apples
  • 1 orange juiced
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 3 tablespoon honey
  • fresh mint optional

Instructions

  • Wash the berries and let them air dry on paper towels. When the strawberries are dry, remove the top stem and cut them in half.
  • Wash and peel the apples. Cut the apples into ¼" slices. Using a mini star shaped cookie cutter, punch out star shapes.
  • In a small bowl, mix the lemon juice, orange juice, and honey.
  • Add all of the prepared fruit to a large bowl and pour the fruit dressing over. Gently fold the salad with the syrup until all of the fruit is coated.
  • Keep the salad refrigerated in an airtight container until you are ready to serve.
  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves if desired.
